I tried to playback/view from the HDMI connection from the camcorder to sony Bravia HDTV and it fails to send any videos (nothing happens). I also have hittachi HD camcorder which works fine, so the TV & the HDMI cable I'm using seems to work fine with other device, maybe a fault with the Camcorder! I even made sure that cam menu is selected to communicate.. via HDMI connection.

I found a what looks to be the sad end to my enq:
a copy right issue which is HDCP High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection, a copy protection scheme to eliminate the possibility of intercepting digital data midstream between the source to the display
ERRRRRRR!! WHY WHY!! I PAID FOR ALL THIS TO HAVE SONY TV+CAM+DVD all HD and I don't have the rights...! it's a joke!
