My old Sony camcorder is not recognised on newer PCs (Win7 64 bit) with IEEE ports (my newer HDR-XR155E USB-connection is fine). I used to download through a Pinnacle port/board in a WinXP 32 bit system. I have a lot of tapes I would like to re-scan. Why is the camcorder not recognised (on browsing I find it should be compatible). I don't know where my original box is, with any software. I seem to remember there was a patch for some brands of IEEE ports. Can anyone help - especially with a patch for my host IEEE controler (says it is Texas Instruments 1394 OHCI compliant).
