Hi destinyh, welcome to the Sony Forums

Unfortunately the USB drivers for older DV cameras like yours no longer work with newer Windows operating systems.

You need to make a firewire (I-Link) connection bewteen the camera's DV-out port and a firewire port on your PC. If your PC doesn't have one, you can normally fit a firewire card quite cheaply.

Let me know if you need any further help.

Cheers

Mick

Hello again

The card you need will depend on the computer you have. Laptops often have PCMCIA slots, which can use a card adaptor like this: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/31MO7bmMV1L._SL500_AA300_.jpg

A desktop PC is more likely to have a firewire port. If yours doesn't have one, you need to install a firewire card inside. Most computer repair shops will fit them cheaply if you're not sure how to do it youself.

The cable you need looks like this.

Hope that's of some help

Mick
