I work for a small company who want to film some short demonstration videos for our products, we want to something like the below video but maybe HD and better sound:

Can anyone recommend a good camera to achieve this on a budget
of up to £1,000?

Hi, welcome to the Sony Forums
Among Sony products I'd go for the HDR-HC9e: http://www.sony.co.uk/product/hdd-hdv/hdr-hc9e
Great HD image quality and – importantly – an external mic socket. Get a decent mic, preferably a 'shotgun' type like the CG50 http://www.sony.co.uk/product/cac-microphones
...and you should still have change for a decent tripod
Cheers
Mick
