How do I sync a handycam DCR-SR32 with an iMac?

I've got a new iMac and the handycam won't seem to sync, the iMac won't recognise it and the software provided is only for PCs.

is there some software that I can download?

Sony provide a tutorial for both PC and MAC here: -

You need a USB Cable and iMovie installed on the iMac.
