Hello guys. I am new to this forum. I wish to free up my internal memory for a planned long shoot. Despite going through the brochure I could not find an answer. I should be grateful if someone could guide me. I am on holidays and have no access to external hard drive or PC in the foreseeable future.
Hi manojchandra, welcome to the Sony Forums
Did you mean to type 'TD20VE'? It's the only '20VE' I can find in the database.
I'm not sure it's possible to copy to an SD card inserted in the camera. The best options are either to copy to a portable USB drive or record directly to the removable media, rather than the internal memory: see the manual p25 "Selecting a recording medium"
If you're shooting a lot, copying to a portable USB drive would be my choice. You can get a 500GB drive for the price of a good 64GB Memory Stick. To copy to an external drive you'll need to plug in the camera's AC power cable. Then plug in the USB drive and wait for the screen to display [Copy]. It should detect existing files and copy only new images. See the user manual p66 for more info.
Cheers
Mick
