How can I get the drivers compatable with windows 7 for DCR-HC14E?
Solved! Go to Solution.
On Windows 7 camera will not be reckognised as storage device like on XP or elsewhere. For OS Windows 7 I advice I link cable, protocol IEEE 1394 for all cameras with cassete to conect to PC and set up function play-edit on camera.
Use Windows Movie Maker so that You go to first function left - chaptering from video device, and You will have Your video chaptered on hard disc of Your computer in cople minutes. After that You can burn it to DVD with some programs like Nero or simular, trial version on internet available. If You do not have Windows Movie Maker on Windows 7 so there is free download on internet.
With usb conection You will be able to use camera just as web cam on PC but not to transfer video to PC, at least not quality, so I strongly recommand I link cable which is from site to camera always 4 pin but on PC You have to see DV in, which can be 4 or 6 pins, but You have such combination cable of Sony like on link down

Hi sukaint35
There are no drivers required for your DCR-HC14E on Windows 7, this is because the USB cannot be used for video transfer, you will require an i-link/firewire cable to connect your product to the PC, please visit the support page below for the replacement software Picture Morion Browser
