Compatability of the DCR SR21e with MPK-DVF7

For this underwater housing, there is a list of cameras that are compatible on the official product page here:

In terms of choosing a model, it will depend upon whether you would prefer a camera that records onto MiniDV tape or DVD. Don't be put off by the 'Previous Model' tag that has been added to the cameras on this list - you will still be able to pick these up from various outlets online. Personally, I prefer using models that record onto DVD due to potential issues with transferring MiniDV tape content to a modern PC with/without a firewire port

In answer to your question on the compatibility of the DCR SR21e with MPK-DVF7, no I doubt the DCR-SR21E would be compatible with your current underwater housing..:smileysad:

As Simon has already been mentioned you may still find a camera available that is listed in the MPK-DVF7 compatible products link but as your housing was released circa 2005 I would suspect these cameras would be similar to the one you are trying to replace..

Unfortunately as Sony have not release a underwater housing for the SR21 all I can suggest if you still want to purchase the SR21E have a search on the net as you may be able to find a third party manufacturer who can supply an underwater housing for the SR21E..
