Can anyone explain the difference between FH and FV batteries ?

Will FH batteries work on newer gear deisigned for FV batteries and can FV batteries be charged on the older type dual charger AC VQH10 ?

Hi, welcome to the Sony Forums

In general the newer batteries do not work with older model cameras.

I would always advise charging batteries only with the designated charger. It may work but I don't know of any confirmed compatibility.

Hello. New to this forum, so greetings to all. I've got old handycam dcr hc19 e and and a friend is providing me with a another one dcr dvd 106E with broken battery. Question is: is the battery np fp30 from old camera hc19 compatible with 106e camera? Or, should i by new battery? Thanks in advance.
