proximity sensor issue on Xperia C

screen would not dispay after call is dialled. Re installed phone software, tested it with sony diagnotics, worked in 1 out of 4 or 5 instances I ran the test.

Any solutions?

No need to goto consumer court, I had the same issue, just open the back flip cover and just at the backside of the proximity sensor tap a little or loosen the nearest screw that side, it works perfectly.

Now the phone works great.

friends kindly try this out, remove the back filp cover and then try little bit loosing the screw back to the Sensor... thats it the phone works great.

I faced the same Proximity Sensor problem too! It definitely the Sony Xperia C hardware issue!

Today I managed to find out a little "solution" here:

Whenever your screen goes black during call.....try to press the "Sony" word/icon on the top of the phone, then the screen eventually will come back.

Please give a try...

I faced the same issue along with few other issues  they got the mother board replaced and they screwed the front camera which i just noticed. (the camera isn't placed properly and the clarity is like 0.00001 pixels.)
