Hi Everyone, Back in 2017 I had a 55 inch XD9305 with the (now admitted) issue of power up fail. My Tv was replaced by Sony back in 2017 with the 55 inch KD-XE9305. As is usually the case, now that the 5 year guarantee has run out I am getting intermittent power up failures. To cure it I usually unplug everything and then leave it for an hour then it usually powers up again. I have a brand new unused power supply (from the returned TV) so I know it’s not an external issue. I plan to replace the TV shortly (Not with a Sony) and wondered if anyone knows which ‘board’ on the KD-55XE9305 is causing the issue as once I have a new TV I want to replace a ‘board’ and see if I can get some use out of it as a spare screen. There are numerous boards available on eBay and other sites but I wondered if anyone knows which board caused the ‘no power up’ issue. Thanking you in advance if you are able to advise …..Ian B
Snap on the XD93 to XE93 replacement. I’m assuming that you are using the remote to power it on? What happens when you use the power button on the TV. I ask because my KD-55XE9395 went through a period of not immediately turning on from cold using the remote unless you held down the remote power button for over a second. It was okay when warm and is okay now v6.7165. It always turned on immediately using the button on the TV.
Hi guys, if it's not powering on at all then yea you might wanna contact Sony directly, but if it's random make sure that you're on the latest software version as this could be the issue and try connecting it to a different socket as well to check.
