ITVX app 'error occurred' message
ITVX app was fine until yesterday (12 April). Sony TV Model is KD-49XH8505. Suddenly icon has changed from ITVX to ITV for no apparent reason and I'm getting a message which reads: "Update to ITVX. Some features may be limited in this version of the app. Please update the ITVX app from your app store. An error has occurred. ObjectfromEntries is not a function."
Have tried everything but it's apparently not possible to uninstall and reinstall unless I do a factory reset. Sony won't refer it up unless I do a factory reset first. Don't want to do that as I can't recall all the passwords from when we set up things like Amazon Prime, Now etc etc and so getting by casting via chromecast from tablet, which is OK but a bit cumbersome and shows that the problem is with the inner workings of the TV. Has anyone with a similar model found a way of sorting this? Thanks!

I've reported it to. The question is, what is the 80 year old who bought this TV and just about worked out how to use the TV and press the buttons for catch up... What are they supposed to do when the product goes wrong like this? It's not fit for purpose

Hi all just to confirm that I get the same message as @LightFoot on my X95k
but after pressing continue it also still works fine.
Out of interest have any of you updated your TV's recently? Lightfoot and I both updated yesterday.

I’ve got the same error message and have emailed them. Mines KD-43XH8196. I did a factory reset and still have same issue.

I’ve had this same problem since yesterday lunchtime on the 13/04/2023 (UK). Is there a fix yet?

Hi @pippypower What is your model number and have you reported it to Sony? We will not get a fix unless we make Sony aware of the problem.
