Hi, I have a KD49XF9005BU tv connected to sky q 2tb box via hdmi and tv is connected to panasonic btt270 home theatre via hdmi arc. I am having problems with lip syncing. Does anyone have any idea on how to resolve this?
The delay is there just using sky and the tv speakers.
I have tried adjusting the sky audio delay settings but it makes it worse.
Hi storming41,
Have you tried compensating the delay on the Panasonic SC-BTT270 already?
On the Panasonic SC-BTT270:
As an alternative, you might want to connect the Sky Q box with an Optical cable to the Panasonic SC-BTT270 and set the source to DIGITAL IN when viewing programmes from the Sky Q box on the TV.
Cheers,
Dutchice
Hi Dutchie, thanks for the reply.
I have already tried the delay to no avail.
I am getting syncing problems with just the SKY Q box connected. SKY replaced my box at the weekend and still have the same problem.
Any futher suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Does anyone else have problems with this TV and SKY Q only attached?

Hi @storming41
Have you tried playing with the Sky Q box Digital audio delay HDMI?
1. Press Home
2. Select Settings
3. Select Setup
4. Select Audio visual
5. Digital audio delay HDMI
Hi, yes, tried the delay and it makes it worse, I need a minus figure to correct it.
Hi Dutchice,
I had my previous set up with the Sky Q box connected with an Optical cable to the Panasonic SC-BTT270 and set the source to DIGITAL IN when viewing programmes from the Sky Q box on the TV and it worked fine.
If i configure it again this way how can i get surround sound for the streaming and digital services on the tv?
Hi @storming41,
You basically have 3 different options to correct your problem.
As I understand only option 3 works for you. So that will be the way to go for you. Connect the Sky Q box to any HDMI input on the TV other than the one marked as ARC. Then connect your TV from the HDMI input marked by ARC to the Panasonic sound bar HDMI input marked as ARC.
As a final option note that sound lags can often be alleviated if you turn off the TV sound enhancement options such as ClearAudio+ from HOME > SETTINGS > SOUND > ADVANCED SETTINGS. If you want to try this you need to make sure that the TV is on the HDMI input used for the Sky Q box before accessing the sound menu.
Hope that's clear for you and you will be able to sort it out.
Cheers,
Dutchice
