Hi guys,
I am experiencing troubles connecting my phone with USB to Skoda vehicles (tested in two cars).
Car can finds the phone, recognize him, I can select connection via Android Auto, it's connecting and then error "Connection failed".
I tested 4 different cables and nothing. And 3 other phones works perfectly (2x Samsung and Xperia 10 III).
So it looks like Xperia 5 V is issue. Also Bluetooth connection works, so phone technically should be compatible, idk.
(however bluetooth connection is only for calling. I need USB connection where you can share maps etc. to car display).
I also tried resetting car infotainment, resetting app in phone etc., nothing works.
Do you have any other tips how to resolve this?
Does it charge...? my xperia 5V says no charging via usb.
Adroid Auto connects wirelesly.
Did it work before latest xperia update?
I think that "no charging" feature came aftet Xperia system update 67.2.A.3.2.
I got the car at 12.3.2025 and Xperia updated itself at 24.3.2025
Yes, charging works fine for me.
Wireless connection also works fine, but in my older car (2020) works only for calling (phone app) etc. If you want to project maps, navigation and other apps to car infotainment you need USB connection.
I don't know how it worked before last update - I have this car only for about two weeks.
