Cold temperatures

I want to record a timelapse of a sunset, however window reflects light so I want to do this on the balcony. The problem is it's -3C outside and I want to know if it's going to damage my phone or not. I'll have to capture for about an hour.

Hi, either do a search on the Sony Site or contact your local Xperia Care and ask......there should be a max and min operating temp guide :smileysmileywink:

For optimum performance, the product should not be operated in temperatures below -10°C(+14°F) or above +45°C(+113°F).

Uli,most probably these are the operating temperatures for the battery.

Hi, if you are worried about the phone being prolonged to a cold temp., if as you say it is going to be stationary/time lapse picture.......i would improvise & experiment covering the phone with for instance an old sock :smileysmileythumbsup:

Now this might seem a bit funny but if you have a big enough cut out not to interfere with the lens the sock will keep the chill out of the phone, if i was wanting to take a picture like this i would improvise.....worth a try my friend :smileysmileywink:
