I bought an Xperia XZ (Dual SIM) yesterday. The first thing I did was to update it to the latest firmware [Build Number: 39.2.A.417].
After updating it and setting it up, I realised I am unable to permanantly set the preferred SIM card for voice calls.
When I set the preferred SIM card for voice calls to SIM card 1, the phone uses SIM card 1 for making calls as expected. HOWEVER, when I restart the phone, the preferred SIM card gets set to SIM card 2 automatically.
Even if I select the option "Ask first", after the phone is restarted the preferred SIM for calls goes back to SIM card 2.
I re-installed the firmware on the phone using the "Software Repair" function in the Xperia Companion software three times, but, this has not solved the problem.
This is a major inconveinience as I have to set the preffered SIM for calls EVERY time I switch on my phone, or else I am making phone calls with the wrong number.
Is this just a software bug that will hopefully get fixed in an update soon or is there a problem only with my phone?
Does any one else have this problem?
Please reply.
