mother board problem

my experia j recently blackout all of sudden.upon sending for repairing the technician discovered that the motherboard has failure.im so desparate it's just been bought over a year and 4 months ago.can Sony bear replacement or not... Even the warranty has expired.how the product has so poor reliability as I'm genuine buyer of various Sony product.i'm speechless and loss of confident on Sony product.

Same happened with me too in sony xperia J..1st my screen broken that changed with local service center suddendly phone stopped working completely not even accepting charging. When shown to sony service centre they said its problem of mother board. Is sony only giving small life motherboards with its all handset.
