NWZ-E585 problem. 'Back' button does not work

Hi, I have a NWZ-E585 walkman. The 'back' button has stopped working making it impossible to navigate around the device. When you turn it on you get to the Home screen but when you select something to play you cannot then go 'back'. I have tried 'resetting' several times and it makes no difference. Any thoughts on how to solve it?

Hi,

Welcome to the Sony Community.

It may be worth checking if your Walkman has the the latest firmware update.  

I would also try pressing the RESET button with a pen or a paper clip, etc. to reset the Walkman again.

Can you also tell me if the HOLD switch is set to the HOLD position?  If so, slide the switch to the opposite position which may also help.
