not all folders are picked up in USB mode

When I attach my USB drive  - I have an issue that the stereo only picks up a few folders.

How should the USB drive be formatted and what should the folder structure look like?

Hello @shortia,

which stereo do you use? Also what stick do you use (size) and how is it formatted (FAT32/FAT16/NTFS/exFAT)?

Hello @shortia,

have you checked to which setting your USB mode is set?

USB MODE
Changes the USB mode: [ANDROID], [MSC/MTP].
(Available only when the USB source is selected.)

Also note

USB Player section
Interface: USB (Full-speed)
Maximum current: 1 A
Maximum number of recognizable folders and files:
Folders (albums): 256
Files (tracks) per folder: 256
Compatible Android Open Accessory protocol
(AOA): 2.0
Corresponding codec:
MP3 (.mp3)
Bit rate: 8 kbps - 320 kbps (Supports VBR
(Variable Bit Rate))
Sampling rate: 16 kHz - 48 kHz
WMA (.wma)
Bit rate: 32 kbps - 192 kbps (Supports VBR
(Variable Bit Rate))
Sampling rate: 32 kHz, 44.1 kHz, 48 kHz
AAC (.m4a, .mp4)
Bit rate: 16 kbps – 320 kbps (stereo)
Sampling rate: 8 kHz – 48 kHz
FLAC (.flac)
Bit depth: 16 bit, 24 bit
Sampling rate: 44.1 kHz, 48 kHz

According to the right file-format, FAT32 is correct.

would you mind to share what that would be? Maybe it is of help for other community members who might stumble upon this post in the future.

Well,

I suppose I need to sort my files into a structure it can recognize.

My file structure was an iTunes Media library so I'm assuming (and I could be wrong) that at the top level, it will only recognise 256 folders and within each of those folders I can have 256 files.

So, i suppose my task is to shoehorn that iTunes Media library into that kind of format.  How I actually do that at this moment I don't know.
