Files and Folders NWA 35

I have been using mediago and media center for pc.  I have successfully transferred a number of albums to the sd card (I have been through all my library making sure all the files are mp3 and all the tags match).  Inorder to keep files in their albums I have changed the tags so that the artist and albums artists are the same.  All is fine.  What I am finding now is when I transfer an album it is split into the album name (with a number of tracks in it) and another album called unknown with the rest of the tracks in it.   If I delete the unknown album and transfer the tracks manually via mediago or music center when the database is rebuilt on the walkman the unknown album is still there. (I have rebuilt the data on the actual walkman as well).  Any advice appreciated - is this common?  (note. using a tag editor I have deleted all tags and rebuilt the tracks files on my pc to get consistancy.  I am using 3gb of a 32gb sd card).

I'll see if i can find this out for you. Maybe someone else in the community can help in the meantime.

Thanks,

Hi,

It seems like you are carefully going about this so I'm not sure why this is happening but I'm just curious if you face the same issue with files from other formats? You can find the supported formats here.

I'm thinking the problem is with my sd cards - I can confirm one was not legit but cannot test the other as it appears completely dead.  So .... I'm buying another card.  I could go for the Sony cards but they are amazingly expensive compared to the norm - and it is proving not easy to find out what specific cards do work.  I'm looking for a 32GB card and would appreciate if any members could tell me what makes they use.  I appreciate I could buy the same card and it will not work but at least I will know that a certain make does work in a Sony.  (I bought a 32GB Sandisk that proved to be a fake so it has put me off Sandisk - however, this may be unfair as I think Sandisk are a good make but it would be nice if I heard from Walkman users that they use Sandisk and it works).

Hi again,

It doesn't appear that Sony recommends a specific brand but instead the memory classes are listed in the help guide: helpguide.sony.net/dmp/nwa30/v1/en/contents/TP0001154785.html

I hope someone with first hand experience replies with a good recommendation. It's unfortunate that you ended up with a fake chip when you got one, these things are so easy to replicate!

All the best,
