cannot remove files from NW a35

Have been trying to remove old music files from NW A 35 player. I've done factory reset and format but they are still there. How do I get rid of them?

Welcome to the Sony Community.

That's very strange as all files should be deleted with a factory reset.

You can try deleting tracks from the Walkman manually.  More details here.
