Did any body try to update u'r w2 to sp2, when i try it its not running good its become slow and an error coming about the program of keyboard, can anybody help me to solve tihis problem thanks..

I did exactly the same and keep getting this message about the known keyboard error. I have not noticed a difference in running speed though. Hopefully I can figure out this keyboard issue & will let u know.

Did you install the updates from http://www.vaio-link.com ?

Hi Rob,

Yes I did go to the link and downloaded the zip folder (w_drivers) for the W2 containing:
Audio Driver
Ethernet Driver
MemoryStick Driver
Modem Driver
MPEG Encoder Driver
Sony Keyboard Driver
Video Driver

In the Sony Keyboard Driver folder I got the following files:
INFCACHE.1
skbinst - application
sonykbs - setup info
sonykbs - system file
sonykbs.pnf

So naturally you would execute the 'skbinst' application, and it does absolutely......nothing?

Any ideas

Actually it probably does something, but it's so quick.

Hi Kee-Lo,

Yeah after double-clicking that icon it kind of did something quickly as you say but it hasnt worked as I still get this keyboard error. I think its prob too early for the fix and to be honest apart from that message coming up everytime I log in...its not causing any noticable problems.

I would try installing the driver using the update driver facility in device manager.
