Hi guys, take a look at the renewed Vaio-link website by entering this altenative URL :  http://www.vaio-link.com/index/index.asp?l=en and share your opinions within this group so Sony can use your feedback.
I know a lot of people may think different but the support guys do care about your opinions
The design is a lot clearer, and the selection of downloads for my model are bigger.
Well done Sony Support :!:
It's a lot clearer than the old site and a lot easier to find what you're looking for - all in all a great improvement.
a lot sharper at first glance, nice one.
I've mentioned it before and I'll mention it again, if Sony are updating their support site then I would like to be able to register for email notifications of any driver updates that are posted to the site. At the moment it is difficult to know if I have the latest drivers. I don't even see the date the drivers were posted so I have to go and look up device manager and compare version numbers to know if anything has been updated.
Best Regards...
Got to agree that would be a good thing.
Very good point LiteYear.
Actually, all new models will include this technology (called Vaio-update), being automatic notification of updates. Some models already have this included as a pilot test phase, and once a new driver is posted you are automatically linked to the Vaio-link site to get your update... kind like the Microsoft update principle.
Don't know the plans to provide this to older models also, as this is far more difficult than it sounds, but hey... they do listen you see
As for the date mentioning and newsletter issue : I happen to know these requists are taken seriously, and you might see this things coming around pretty soon...
Sounds good Guess_Who
I just think a lot of people get upset becaus they don't see instant feedback from Sony, so a few people get annoyed, they should use patience.
True thing, the problem with big companies is that they tend to move slow, but once they move they are hard to stop
