Sony vaio - you are not cool (that doesn't mean you have to generate heat unnecessarily))

Thank you lord almighty, i could finally find how to raise a new post on this forum. <><

Here is the story....

I bought a Sony Vaio VPCEB4X0E (i5, 500 Gig HDD, etc) from a Central London Sony Centre. I was very happy when the purchase thinking that the Full HD resolution and the Blue-ray (which i can't use anymore after upgrading to Windows 😎 is all what i want in this world to be happy PC owner. Without getting into the list of other pains here is my problem.

The laptop since is its very first use was getting hot. I used a lot of photoshop and processor hungry applications. So always thought its because of the burden i am putting on the processor. The sory support centre geniuses also convinced me with this.

It was a blessing in disguise as living in a 1 Bed flat the economy 7 heating was not effective and the heat from the laptopn compensated for it.

Now, when i have stopped using the that heavy loaded apps and wants to use it for basic browsing, still the fan rorates like a turbine and produces enough heat to keep the coffee cup warm and surrounding area hot (As its summer, getting difficult).

The laptop is out of warranty buti have got the fan cleaned (dust removed) and applied the thermal conductor on the heat sync.

The disc refrag was also performed. No virus too. I am a techie 😉 you see.

Can someone help me to understand whats happening here. Why is it getting so hot. This summer is anyway too hot.

Thanks.
