Is a recovery disk supposed to come with my new s2xp, or am I supposed to create it? My new laptop come without any disk, neither for the vaio or for Window XP. Is that normal?
With the S1XP there were two recovery discs included in the package. However the US version of the S series didn't. All the data needed for the recovery was placed on a recovery partition on the HDD itself. There you had to burn your recovery discs yourself. It could be so that SONY also opted for this "CHEAP" solution for the newer S2 series in Europe too. Try and check your manual. There should be atleast printed material in the box I hope.
