Problem when watching DVD's

hello everyone,

i have another question for you guys,

when i watch DVD's on my laptop, the frame randomly freezes for a couple seconds (minutes sometimes)

i think this problem is caused because the computer is trying to save energy by adjusting the rate the DVD-ROM spins (or something)...
but i don't know how i can change this?

i'm using eh VGN A115M by the way

let me know please :slight_smile:

This could be due to a grubby disk or a dirty lens. I have also heard that some models do this when they are connected to a wireless lan.

so it has nothing to do with energy saving?

and what's the best method to clean my lens? with a special lenscleaner-cd ? or something else?

thx

A lens cleaning CD is the easiest way. Also, check to make sure that your computer isn't running Adware & Spyware as it can consume a lot of CPU time.
