Hello, i'm new to the vaio site.:smileyhappy: i'm hoping someone can help?
i just bought a Vaio A series notebook and found that the equipped dvd player had already been set to play only dvd's from region / zone_2 ie: (PAL).
I had hoped i'd have a chance to set it for zone_1 ie: (NTSC), as most dvd's i loan are from zone_1.
is there any way to de-zone the DVD drive to play zone-free or to reset it to play just zone_1?
cheers.

the doom9 group are specialists in these matters
Doom9 - True....
AnyDVD (I didn't say that did I?)
Interesting irony on my RZ-322 which was factory shipped with a Sony DVD-RW and a Matsushita DVD-R. The Sony can be made to read any region using the appropriate software while the Matsushita can't. So we have a corporate behemoth who on one hand is bleating about copyright protection (Sony Pictures) and on the other (Sony Storage) is making DVD drives on which region protection can be compromised.
Yes Doom9 seem to know their stuff (and it's contributers).
