Playing BlueRay movies through Vaio to TV

Hy Guys. Purchased a new Vaio FW11M yesterday. Connected to Sony TV via HDMI lead and put Blue Ray DVD in Vaio. However could not play DVD due to error message saying it was unable to connect?
Please advise.

Hi,

I am having similar problems. My first two steps were to try a DVD movie (as opposed to a Blu-ray movie) on its own. Then to try getting the Blu-ray to play on my laptop without the connection to the TV. This lead me to figure out that I needed an app on my laptop called WinDVD but its installation was dodgy. Now I am trying to figure out how to get it re-installed.
