Please can you advise on which media to burn dvds on the writer. have tried alsorts they seem to be selling 4x and over now, this one only a 2.4x none want to work. thanks

Same problem here. This DVD+-RW dribe is used on PCG-GRT816S.
I've bought many different brands, wasting money each time with a not-so-wonderfull "power calibration error" at some time of the burning....
I've found recently that the Sony DVD+RW 1x-4x compatible discs (with AccuCore technology) 4.7GB finally seems to work !

I also strongly advise to buy RW discs for a start, since the disc is still usable even after a write error.

Maybe it is just me, but I've also pointed that DVD should be burned in UDF mode, not ISO mode for better chances of success in the burning (?)
