Have been playing again with our machine at work using the wireless kit recording todays Grand Prix.

One question when using the wireless kit using giga-pocket i pressed record and it would only record for about 30 minutes, is there a way of recording for longer?

I remember someone asking about this Graham, and I remember somone telling me it's to do with DRM, so we don't record movies. Maybe I am wrong though

I think the giga pocket only has about an hour worth of recording time in high quality mode and around 120 mins in standard play mode. It might be that the disc is half full with other recorded stuff. The timer recording wizard should be able to sort you out though.

Thanks for all the replys it makes me want one even more before the new R series come out with Windows Media Edition insted of Giga Pocket.

What do people think is Giga Pocket better than Windows Media Edition.

I hear Gigapocket is better.
Windows Media Center cannot be upgraded like XP can either. Can't buy it in a store.

I have just got the RZ504 but not yet installed the media wireless gizmo as have already got a standrad wireless network and don't know how to integrate proprietary Sony stuff using the sole network port with my existing network, really complex stuff for non technical users! Anyone know if I need an extra network port on the Sony to hook up to my existing switch and then use the wireless link to beam the video and music to the TV/Hifi in the lounge?
So far machine looks good and is fast!
