PCG GRT785B laptop

Hi i have bought this latop apparently its brand new but someone has taken out 3 keys. although those keys r useless 4 me cause they r alt, control and windows. but i have problem when i press
"k" it prints "yk"
"e" it prints "e4"
"4" it prints "e4"
"y" it prints "yk"
"i" it prints "i0"
i cant find where is the fault. i have updated the bio i have reinstalled the windows. is it a hardware or firmware problem???
plz help me

sounds like your keyboard is messed-up... if it is brandnew... take it right back an have it replaced... try to do a counter check and hook up a external keyboard... just to clear that fact!...

one other possiblity is to remove the black vent panel so you can remove the keyboard and reinsert the flat-wire connection.

but if it is brandnew... remember the warantee!

If there are keys missing from the keyboard then the laptop should be taken straight back - assuming you bought from a reputable source - you did say that it is "apparently" new.

Oh, and you will need the Alt key.

I would send the laptop back, as it's not the correct layout, it's been tampered with.

if its just the keyboard problem then i will buy the keyboard cause i got it very cheap cause of that keyboard. will any one tell me where from i can get this keyboard.ot its equvalent keyboard in usa model cause in uk keyboards r very expensive keyboard part number is 147802311
