My Laptop does not restart .

Hi,
My laptop worked very slow during the first few days ,a few days later i could not restart the laptop.The Laptop is very slow.Please advise if there are any process or any hardware problem.if so please advise on what action to take to restore it to normal speed or increase the speed.

It could be the anti-virus rogram on your computer starting up and looking for updates on the internet.
SInce you are not connected, it looks very hard and ramps your CPU usage up to 100%.


If it is this, try starting the laptop up in safe mode then start up the virus program. If things start going slow, you know what the problem is.

Once the anti virus program is running, look in its set up menus and disable the auto check for updates on start up.


FOr specific help with the anti virus program, let us know what program you are running and someone here may have first hand knowledge.

As it's only a few days old, and the AV isn't the problem then I'd be tempted to take it back to the retailer
