grx316mp screen
My screen has recently started becoming really pixelated at times, could it be on the way out?
It's normally ok for up to 15 minutes after boot up and then will just mess up

That sounds more like a driver issue than a screen issue. I would reinstall the drivers - get the latest versions from www.vaio-link.com

Still no joy after installing the new drivers, I was planning a re-build so i'll see if that fixes it

Hmm strange.
How long have you had your GRX316MP?

I bought it off ebay so don't really know it's age.
Just about to do a rebuild so hopefully that will sort it. I was getting some failed boot ups with corrupt drivers so it's probably the best option

Nah, still doing it. I think it's a loose/bad connection because it seems to get worse if I move the screen

Have you tried connecting to an external monitor to see if the problem is duplicated on there?

I'll give it a try to confirm but i'd say it's definitely a loose connection of some sorts. I dropped the laptop a while back and the speaker cover came loose. The speakers don't work now unless I push down on the speaker cover. Also, if the display is messed up and I push down on the cover, it goes back to normal
