I own a Grt815m, great machine, my first laptop. Alls been well so far,
apart from the fact that i recently wanted to burn dvd's with no success at all!
So hoping someone could shed some light on this matter.
I've used initially : Bulkpaq disks, blue in colour, 1speed generation 4 dvd-rw
(www.bulkpaq.co.uk)
Got them cheap at the computer fair 12.50 for 25....so I was told the cheaper ones aren't liked by the sony drive.
So I shelled out 10pounds on 5 Maxell dvd+rw and the first one has just failed.
The maxell disk came up with an 'illegal disk' error
The bulkpaq ones fail burn with an error message of 'burn process failed at 1 x(1,380 kb/s)
For the burning I am using Nero ultra, and have it on 'dvd' setting.
Any help will be much appreciated as burning dvd's is becoming an expensive hobby!
I've updated the drivers to 5.1.2535.0
Burning CD;s has never been a problem.
Any other info. can be provided if required to help solve this problem.
