Hi hujet and welcome to Club Vaio.

I have not previously heard of the option to choose a language, but if the warning was given that this was irreversible then I guess that is probably the case.

You could always try a system recovery, using either your restore disks or the hard disk drive recovery utility, to see whether this option is again available.

The other alternative is to purchase a copy of the operating system in English and then install the Sony drivers and utilities. If you then install the Sony bundled software these may still be in the Dutch language.

Hujet,

In order to clear up any confusion here, can you confirm that you are trying to revert to the English operating system or is it an application that is the problem, ie Office:smileyconfused:

my problem was to revert the language to the english system. not only the spelling corrections etc. but the whole command of my system.

Unfortunately, it's not possible to change the o/s language using the restore disks, this is something that is implemented to comply with Microsofts paranoid licence.
