Hi all, I have just bought a FS195XP notebook and found out it dont have gigapocket (something I didnt know existed before I bought this Vaio). What I was wondering is can I install, or have it installed on this machine? Thanks DaMixa
Gigapocket is only useful (thus only supplied with) when you have a TV Tuner Dock. (AV Entertainment Dock).
You can not buy/install it otherwise.
I have the software and can not use it because my Av Dock was stolen. (You cant eevn run it because it gives an error saying the dock is not connected).
Sony has definitely messed up with this AV Dock and Gigapocket Software.

So basically...no...thought not....Sony is Cr*p. This is just another disappointment with my very expensive machine. Moral : Do not buy Sony....... I never will again.......
Does this notebook have a TV tuner? Or the docking station with it?

Yes, as Rob has said you can get a USB box, it's not the end of the world, and the tech inside the Haupagge boxes is better than Gigapocket's, also it's compatible with other programs to allow direct capture in Premiere and Pinacle.
