Horrible picture problems with LIGHT strobing/pooling/flooding

I've just purchased a KD55XF7003BU

Lots of problems whenever there is a strong light source in the film/tv source. Simply no way to ignore or get used to this level of picture quality, lines across the screen, halo'ing, flooding etc
