Hi @Langton92, sorry to hear about this. 
There isn't that much that can be done since the device has reached it's end of support, but I would recommend that you try and restart the device in safe mode. This way we can see if a third party application is causing the screen to not rotate correctly.
If you could also double check which Xperia L model you have that would be great since the Xperia L was released in 2013 and you may have a newer model. You can find the model number in Settings > About phone.
