UBP-X700 sound terrible with soundbar

Hi, we have a Sony UBP-X700 set up with a Samsung TV and Samsung soundbar (HW-N300) and the sound is terrible. It amplifies the gunshots and explosions of a movie, but to a markedly louder level than speech. I've tried putting Audio DRC on but it does nothing. Whereas films on Netflix or the TV I can hear perfectly.

Is this just a symptom of the 4K/soundbar combo? I have the player going into the TV via HDMI and then the TV connected to the soundbar via bluetooth. Again - anything wrong with this setup?

which audio mix do you have selected (stereo or 5.1) and which type of soundbar are you using? Does it have a dedicated center speaker (meaning it is at least a 3.0 system) or does it only have 2 speakers build in?

If it has a dedicated speaker for the center (dialoge) channel, select 3.1 or 5.1 and if it has not, select the stereo mix.
