My Sony RDR-HXD870 will not play my CD with VOB files?
Hi there, Please can someone advise. I have acquired a DVD disc with a film with VOB files. It will play on my PC but not on this model Recorder.Please advise if there is any solution available? is there a format problem because I have had the Recorder for 3 years?. Are there any downloads available?. The error message is "cannot read Disc". Thank you Rob
VOB files are the standard format for DVD disks. Does your PC recognize it as a standard DVD? In this case it should work fine also on the recorder. If instead they are copied from a DVD and , for example, put directly in the root of the disk instead of the standard directory hierachy of a DVD, I'm not confident they will play on the recorder.
