Hearing aid amplifier and soundbar

Hi, first time contribution.My issue is my wife has Bluetooth hearing aids that are link to hearing aid amplifier through the optical cable.

My TV is aKD-55AF8

I want to add a soundbar,theatre 8 or 9 ideally through a HMDIARC cable.

My problem seems to be that my TV doesn't allow audio output from optic and HMDIARC at the same time.

Is this correct and if so has anyone found a solution.

Why do think so?afaik the optical audio output is always active whatever you connect and you may check looking at the red light always on on the back of the tv
