Apps sounds do not play when connected via eARC to Denon 2600

I have just bought an AG9 and denon 2600 AMP with dolby atmos system, I've setup AG9 as centre speaker.

 

I only have skyQ connected and surround sound works fine when playing through SKY Q

 

The problem is if i select an app from the TV (we mostly use netflix / Amazon Prime / youtube) no audio is output through the Denon. We can use netflix  from SKY so that's not really a big problem, i don't want to have to connect our amazon firebox to the AMP so this is why Im trying to get these apps working direct from TV.

 

I am using HDMI from TV to Denon from the eARC connector on TV - HDMI3 , to the Denon eARC connector.

 

Any help appreciated ?

Ok , so this is now working, wasn't using the eARC connector on the denon 2600, and also need to enable eARC on the sony AG9. So surround sound through the denon when playing from apps on the sony is now working.

 

The only issue i have now is if i set sony audio source from audio system to tv speakers i don't get any audio through TV speakers when playing back sky TV, it still plays back through denon. This does however work when playing TV apps through TV speakers. I have tried changing the source on the denon from cable to TV/audio, when on TV/audio i don't get video or audio .

Thanks for sharing how you managed to resolve the issue with us.

 

Did you try performing a soft reset by pressing and holding on the power button for like 10-15 seconds until the TV restarts?
