iPod Connectivity on the ICF-C7iP Dock

Recently my iPod dock (ICF-C7iP) has been charging my iPod but refuses to play songs through the dock's speakers. I have owned this dock for 4 years and this has never happened before. What must I do to get my iPod to play songs through my dock?
