reregistering an ereader

Hi. I have been given my ereader by a family member who has already registered the ereader in their name. How can I change it to my name and download the book I have bought. I have registered the ereader to me but cannot download the book as it says the reader is already registered to someone else.

Hello spanish - you first have to de-authorise the reader, then re-authorise it for you.

This thread De-authorizing an e-reader should help - I don't think it's in the manual.

But it has been covered here a few times in the past. [Have a look at ethe the section here, on this page, lower right ] Hope this helps.
