PRS350 PROBLEM

PRS350 READER WONT TURN ON, WORKED FINE TILL RECENTLY, TRIED TO CHARGE BY CONNECTING TO LAPTOP, THE RED CHARGING LIGHT COMES ON FOR ABOUT 90 SECONDS THEN GOES TO FLASHING AMBER, TRIED 'RESET' BUTTON STILL DOES THE SAME, SEEMS TO BECYCLING THROUGH THE ABOVE SEQUENCE EVERY FEW MINUTES

ANY IDEAS ANYONE??

Back up all content from your downloads etc.. or make sure you have it in your library - Reader/Adobe/Calibre if you use it - and do a hard reset.

You will lose all content on the 350, but it can be reloaded.

A hard reset might be the answer.

Had the same occurance recently, same experience with the charging light. What I did weas to use it until the power was into the last power segment then recharged from there via PC.

Not saying that this will follow for you but now I find the PC doesnt show the reader as connected and so wont syn

Other possible is to try a mains charger - it is more reliable, and often gees things up.

You can't overcharge it, so can be left on overnight - not best practise with a USB connection, it can occasionally actually drain the battery.
