PRS-T1:Storing Audio Books on an installed 32gbyte SD Card

Hi

I have installed a 32gbyte SD card in my Sony PRS-T1.

The card was formatted using the Reader's own software.

I have a collection of dickens audio books in MP3 format.

I have placed the individual novel files in a folder named after the novel, this in turn is in a sub-folder called Audio Books within the Media folder on the SD Card.

When I try to copy over one novel that has 99 files - ranging from 6mbyte to 12mbyte in size, it gets part way through then the files on the reader start to corrupt and fail to copy.:smileyconfused:

I have successfully copied over a previous novel of shorter length with 275 files between 0.5mb and 2.5mb in size.

I have also copied a single file novel of 218mbytes without problem.

My question is; are there limits on the number of files, file size or sub-folders?

Also am I copying them into the correct location on the SD Card?

Any helpful suggestions as to the possibled cause of the copying failure and details of limits will be much appreciated.:smileyhappy:

Thanks

John

Have you tried using Calibre software?

Thank you for the suggestion - I already have Calibre.

I think the problem was/is not so much as the method of loading as the actual files.

I will have to reconvert the files again and try once more.

Thank you for replying.

John,  you should be sending the files via Calibre not just transferring them to your folders.  Calibre has to make database files during the transfer.  I am also using a 32GB microSD card.
