My PRS350 ereader is frozen and the reset button does nothing - any ideas?

Yes, tried reset,but nothing! The ereader is 18 months old so no longer covered by the warranty. The shop I bought it from has closed so it looks as though we are at the end of the line - shame really.  Thanks for the help and ideas.
