Cazza - using either your PC or the T1 wi-fi, you can still buy and download from all the "High Street" online stores [W/stones, Smiths-Kobo, etc.... ] and go further afield also, say in the States - some stores will do a currency conversion.
So don't despair.
Also there are many sites for free d/loads, mainly classic pub-dm's, Project Gutengberg for example, and the T1 has the added facility of being able to access any UK libraries that have a digital collection . You may need to fulfill residence qualifications for some of these, and Mobile Forums is the only source I know of that maintains a list of all UK libraries that do this, so check there for this - they also have their own large free library [the sort where you actually keep the books, not return - they become yours, like Gutenberg ], and details of other resources you can access.
