French Dictionary for Sony Reader PRS-650

Good morning everybody,

I'm a French student and I recently buy the Sony Reader PRS-650. I'm very happy, but there isn't any French Dictionary in this Reader.

Is it possible to have a French Dictionary ? Thank you

Hello Asparate

It's because I noticed that there was only an English-French or French-English dictionary that I didn't reply yesterday.

I can't find the exact posting but somewhere on this forum is a reply to a question like yours (can we have more dictionaries) from a Sony representative who says that it will have to be done via a firmware upgrade - and this isn't planned at the moment.

So it looks like you are out of luck.

PS : Don't worry about your bad English - it's fine and a good deal better than my French!

Hello Asparate,

Choose Settings, then Application Settings and then Dictionary.

Pick your Language of choice.

Thank you Stephanius for your answer, but there isn't any French dictionary ! I only can use English dictionary or translators...

This feature has no interest in France if the dictionary is not French ... You know how to install a new dictionary, or an update will happen shortly ?? Thank you for your help and sorry for my bad English...

I should think there must be a digital French dictionary available to download somewhere, surely .........

Then simply download it as an ebook and use it as you would a phys-dictionary ?

Wouldn't be as quick/convenient, but it would be a dictionary on your reader ........
