ereader wont switch off

I have a sony ereader PSR-650.  My screen seems to have froze and wont let me turn a page or switch off.....any help please

welcome to Questions & Answers..

If the Reader battery power is completely drained, the screen can retain the last image that was displayed and can give the impression that the Reader is frozen.

Have you connected the reader to a computer using the USB connection, if the battery is very low the reader can take a while to charge before you are able to switch off..
